What we do — and what we don't.

Check In Check Up ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of everyone who visits this website, submits an enquiry, or takes part in our workshops and community sessions — whether you are based in Switzerland or joining us online from anywhere in the world.

1. Who We Are

Check In Check Up – Langelier is a sole proprietorship (raison individuelle) registered in Switzerland, delivering English-language mental health psycho-educational workshops to international schools, corporates, and international organisations, both in person across Switzerland and online via Zoom.

2. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to personal data processed through this website, our enquiry form, our workshop delivery, our free weekly community check-in, and our related communications (email and social media interactions). It is designed to comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP/nLPD) and, where relevant to visitors and clients based in the EU/EEA, the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. What Personal Data We Collect

We do not knowingly collect special-category health data through the website. Anything shared informally during a workshop discussion is treated as confidential and is never recorded, sold, or used for marketing.

4. How We Use Your Data

• To respond to your enquiry and scope out whether our services are a good fit.
• To schedule and deliver workshops, the Organisational Wellbeing Audit, and related services.
• To send confirmations, resource packs, and relevant follow-up communication.
• To maintain accurate business records, as required under Swiss law.
• To improve our website and workshop content.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell or rent personal data to third parties.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

Where GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (e.g. submitting the enquiry form or joining the community check-in), the necessity of processing to perform a contract (e.g. delivering a paid workshop), and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business responsibly.

6. Who We Share Data With

We keep personal data sharing to an absolute minimum. We do not share, sell, or disclose your personal data to any third party, with one limited exception:

• Our fiduciaire — for accounting purposes, our fiduciaire receives only the name of the school or business associated with an invoice. No individual contact names, personal emails, phone numbers, or enquiry details are shared.

Tools such as Google Workspace, Zoom, and Canva / Predis AI are used internally to run our business (email, virtual workshops, and content creation). These are our own working tools, not third parties we share your data with for their own purposes — your data passes through them only as far as needed for us to operate, under each provider's own security safeguards.

Beyond this, personal data is only ever disclosed where we are legally required to do so — for example, to Swiss tax or social insurance (AVS/AHV) authorities, or in response to a lawful request from a competent authority.

7. Data Retention

We keep enquiry and client data only as long as needed to respond to you, deliver a service, or meet Swiss legal record-keeping requirements. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after a reasonable period if no further contact is made.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you are based, you may have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Ask us to delete your data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
• Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribe from communications, leave the community check-in).
• Object to certain processing.

If you are unsatisfied with our response, you have the right to contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, where GDPR applies, your local data protection authority.

9. Cookies & Website Analytics

This website may use essential cookies needed for it to function, and basic analytics to understand how visitors use the site. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising. Where required, a cookie notice will be shown so you can accept or decline non-essential cookies.

10. Children's Data

Our school workshops are delivered to students through their school as the responsible party. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from minors through this website. Any data relating to students is handled in agreement with, and under the safeguarding policies of, the partner school.

11. Confidentiality & Scope of Practice

Our workshops are psycho-educational, not therapeutic, and are delivered under the guidance of a clinical supervisor. Anything shared by participants during a session is treated with discretion and is not recorded or shared outside the safeguarding and referral pathways agreed with the host organisation. Referral pathways in Switzerland include La Main Tendue (143) and Pro Juventute (147).

12. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures — including secure business tools and limited access to client data — to protect your information against loss, misuse, or unauthorised access.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
